Student, remember to join the unemployment fund when starting a summer job
As a member of an unemployment fund, you have the possibility of getting earnings-related unemployment allowance if you become unemployed, for example, after graduation. This allowance is often significantly higher than the basic unemployment allowance paid by Kela.
To receive earnings-related unemployment benefits, you must meet the 12-month work requirement, which you can accumulate in parts — for instance, through summer jobs. Upgrade your membership to StudentPlus level at OmaLoimu and join the unemployment fund. By doing so before the 15th of June, you will receive an awesome overall badge and enter a raffle for gift cards.
