Loimu’s strategy and values

In its strategy, Loimu has defined its mission, values and vision, as well as the promises it has made to its members.

  • Loimu’s mission is the well-being and success of our members. Everything we do must directly or indirectly contribute to the well-being and success of our members.

  • At the end of the strategy period in 2024, Loimu’s vision is to be an active influencer serving a satisfied and growing membership.

    We already have achieved this in many ways. Our vision emphasises to us the areas of our operations where we want to develop and achieve better results in particular: the satisfaction of our members, the number of our members and our impact on the well-being and success of our members, both through our social advocacy and advocacy activities and personal services.

  • Loimu’s values are the basis of our operations. Our shop stewards and employees are committed to operating in accordance with our values.

    Focus on the members

    • We work for the benefit of our members, listen to them and serve them. A member can rely on our expertise. We’re here for our members.

    Equality

    • We treat our members equally and promote equality in society.

    Courage

    • We are ready to make bold choices. We want to try new solutions. We are cooperative and open.

    Responsibility

    • We act responsibly and in accordance with sustainable development. We support Loimu members in making a brighter future.
    • Our strategy was created during 2018 as a result of the work of Loimu’s strategy working group, Board of Directors, Board of Delegates and office. During the year, the chairmen of Loimu’s member associations also worked on the strategy at their seminar. The first large-scale Loimu membership survey conducted in March–April 2018 was an important tool and source of information. Loimu’s Board of Delegates confirmed the strategy at its autumn meeting on 24 November 2018. The strategy period will last until the end of 2024, when the term of Loimu’s second Board of Delegates will also end. We are also prepared to review the strategy during the strategy period.
    • During the strategy period, we plan our operations and direct our financial and human resources in accordance with the promises made to members and the related goals. The strategy aims to achieve Loimu’s mission in the best possible way by achieving the set goals and vision. All our operations are guided by Loimu’s values.
