Membership fee discount considers your life situation – apply for a discount 

If your gross monthly income is less than €2,900, you may be eligible for a discount on your membership fee. The amount of the discount is determined based on income brackets: 

• Discount group 1, Gross income between €2,401 and €2,900/month 

• Discount group 2, Gross income between €1,801 and €2,400/month 

• Discount group 3, Gross income under €1,800/month 

You can also apply for a reduced membership fee if you work as an entrepreneur or if you are living abroad (Discount group 4). 

Applying for a discount is easy in our OmaLoimu e-service, under the Membership fees section. Select the correct discount category and reason for the discount on the form. If your income is temporarily lower, for example due to parental leave, you can indicate the start and end dates on the application. You can also apply for a discount to be valid until further notice – for example, if you are unemployed and do not yet have a new job lined up. In that case, you can leave the end date blank. 

No worries if you forgot to apply for the discount – you can also apply retroactively for up to six months. 

The discount application will be processed by Loimu’s Member services. After processing, you will receive information about the updated membership fee in OmaLoimu. If needed, you will also receive instructions on how to pay the corrected fee.
